We're Here!

Ok, well, not really, we arrived Monday night. It was a great trip. The weather for the most part was good. We hit heavy rains in Kansas and some into Colorado.

We arrived at our new home around 6pm. We were tired and hungry. We emptied out the car and headed for Beau Jo's, a tasty pizzeria that serves gluten-free pizza, think Pizza Hut deep dish! Leah was in heaven and also got to try a GF beer!

After dinner, we headed over to Target to grab some things, $400 later we left the store.

We got back to the apartment and inflated the air mattress and hit the sack.

Tuesday was to be a busy day. First, Leah's car was dropped off right outside the apartment complex. The auto transport worked out perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

Second, our Amtrak shipment of 28 boxes arrived at the Denver Amtrak station. We rented a cargo van and headed to Denver, about a 25 minute drive. Picked up the boxes and headed to a furniture outlet center to look for furniture, Success. We ordered a mattress, a couch and some living room furniture to be delivered on Thursday. We headed back to Boulder with a packed van ready to unpack. The drive back up to Boulder is incredible. You just cannot escape the mountain views. It's amazing.

On Wednesday, we dropped off the van and headed north to Longmont, about 5 miles from home. We found a few flea market/antique malls up there online. We found some nice stuff including a dining room table and a sweet bench.

And so, here we are today, Thursday sitting on the couch writing this new entry. We're all set up for the most part. We have an adult bed, yeah I feel like a kid getting into it, but it sure is comfy.

In other news, Leah was awarded a Presidential Scholarship at BCMT!! I knew she would get it! She is a smarty pants.

Blanch and Mr. Naughty are doing well. Mr. Naughty was given a new hutch for his good behavior on the long road trip. He's a tough guy. Blanche is having fun at the new place. She sits on the bedroom window sill watching the squirrels in the tree.

Ok, enough blabbing for today. We are going to unwind and take it easy today.
