Got out for a MTB Ride today at Coulson Gulch

I got in a great ride with my new riding buddy, Chad. He knows the trails well around here. We met at the trailhead at 1 and took off. The ride started off with an amazing tight twisty singletrack descent that led to a running river. This was the backcountry. I was surrounded by peaks shooting into the sky. We continued on, mostly climbing until we turned around and descended back down into the valley. It started to pour, but the nice thing was the sun was still shining. I have to get used to this Colorado weather, very unpredictable. We rode on to get back to the climb out to the cars. It was grueling but well worth it. The ride lasted 2.5 hours and we put in 10 miles. I'm pretty beat but ready to ride again.
